Why choose a complete skateboard?

A complete skateboard is an already set up board ready for fun in the skatepark or on the streets. It is the perfect choice for you, in case you do not want to assemble your own skateboard or are new to the world of skateboarding, or just really want to get out and perform awesome freestyle stunts.

Complete skateboards for kids

Skateboards in kids’ sizes are a bit narrower, usually between 7.0 and 7.5 inches. The advantages of a smaller board are better control and a lighter weight, as well as lower risk to hit the board while pushing. Typically, 7 inches boards can be used by kids from 5 and up, or even a bit younger, depending on use, height and level. Considering that kids grow fast, complete skateboards are a good starting solution. You will be able to spare some work and money assembling a board from scratch, so what’s not to like?

Complete skateboards for teenagers and adults

Regular complete skateboards are usually from size 7.5 and up. Besides following the size chart, choosing the right skateboard size is also a matter of personal preference. Wider boards are a good choice for beginners, as they are easier to ride on at higher speeds and you simply have more space for your feet. However, for learning flip tricks or saving some board weight, you might prefer a smaller size.

Choosing the skateboard with the right components

When looking for your ideal skateboard, we recommend that you have an idea of where you are going to skate. For park, harder wheels work best - combined with good quality, stiffer decks with a medium concave, in case you do not yet have specific concave preferences. If you will be skating in the streets, you might consider softer wheels with better grip, so you will be able to ride more smoothly on uneven surfaces. Weight, bearings and griptape specifications are also worth looking at.

You can also personalize your skateboard later in the future by replacing single components.

Wearing protection pads and a helmet does not only mean higher safety, but also a much faster skate progression. When learning new tricks and riding on ramps, you or your kids will simply dare more when knowing that you have gear to protect you when falling.
